What the gift card is\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e1.1 A Simply GiftBoxes Gift Card is a prepaid store credit for use only on our website, simplygiftboxes.com.au.\u003cbr\u003e1.2 Gift cards are issued as an electronic code sent by email. They are not reloadable or top-up cards.\u003cbr\u003e1.3 Gift cards may be purchased from $25.00 AUD in the denominations we offer at checkout.\u003cbr\u003e1.4 A gift card is not a credit card, debit card or stored-value facility that can be used outside our store.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2. Expiry (required under Australian and NSW law)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e2.1 Each gift card remains redeemable for \u003cstrong\u003eat least 3 years from the date it is supplied\u003c\/strong\u003e (the date we issue the code to the purchaser).\u003cbr\u003e2.2 The \u003cstrong\u003edate of issue\u003c\/strong\u003e and the \u003cstrong\u003eexpiry date\u003c\/strong\u003e (or the words “Valid for 3 years from the date of issue” together with the issue date) will be shown \u003cstrong\u003eprominently on the gift card email\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e2.3 Any term that tries to shorten that 3-year period is void. The card stays valid for 3 years from the issue date.\u003cbr\u003e2.4 After the expiry date, any unused balance expires and is not refundable, except where Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3. No post-purchase fees\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e3.1 We do not charge activation fees, account-keeping fees, inactivity fees, balance-check fees, or any other fee after purchase that reduces the redeemable value of the gift card.\u003cbr\u003e3.2 Ordinary checkout costs that apply to every customer (for example, shipping on an order under $50, or a payment-processing fee charged by a third-party provider on the original gift-card purchase) are not “post-supply fees” on the gift card balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e4. How to redeem\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e4.1 Enter the gift card code at checkout on simplygiftboxes.com.au.\u003cbr\u003e4.2 Gift cards can be used on any product we sell at the time of redemption, subject to stock and these terms.\u003cbr\u003e4.3 You may use part of the balance. Any leftover balance stays on the same code until it is used or the card expires. You do not have to spend the full amount in one order.\u003cbr\u003e4.4 If an order is more than the gift card balance, the difference must be paid by another accepted payment method.\u003cbr\u003e4.5 If an order is less than the gift card balance, the unused amount remains on the card. We do not pay the leftover amount out in cash.\u003cbr\u003e4.6 There is no minimum spend to use a gift card.\u003cbr\u003e4.7 Gift cards cannot be used to buy another gift card.\u003cbr\u003e4.8 One or more gift cards may be used on the same order, together with another payment method if needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e5. Delivery, notes and our products\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e5.1 Redeeming a gift card is the same as paying for an order. Our usual product descriptions, packing notes, dispatch times (normally 1–3 business days) and Australia Post delivery timeframes still apply.\u003cbr\u003e5.2 Free shipping on orders over $50 still applies when the order total (after the gift card is applied) meets that threshold, unless we state otherwise at checkout.\u003cbr\u003e5.3 Mystery and curated bundles are selected from available stock. Colour and theme requests can be added in the checkout notes. Exact items will vary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e6. Cash, refunds and returns\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e6.1 Gift cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, except where we are required to provide a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.\u003cbr\u003e6.2 Change of mind: we do not refund a gift card purchase because you or the recipient change your mind, once the code has been issued.\u003cbr\u003e6.3 If a gift card is faulty (for example the code does not work and the fault is our responsibility), contact us and we will replace the code or refund the unused balance.\u003cbr\u003e6.4 Products bought with a gift card are covered by the same returns policy as other orders: we cannot accept returns of mystery or curated bundles for change of mind or personal preference. If an item arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right. Any refund we give for a faulty product purchased with a gift card will usually be returned to the gift card balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e7. Lost, stolen or unused codes\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e7.1 Treat the gift card email and code as cash. Anyone with the code may be able to use it.\u003cbr\u003e7.2 If a code is lost, deleted or used without your permission, tell us as soon as possible at \u003ca href=\"mailto:team@simplygiftboxes.com.au\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eteam@simplygiftboxes.com.au\u003c\/a\u003e with the order number and purchaser email.\u003cbr\u003e7.3 If the balance is still unused, we may cancel the old code and issue a replacement for the remaining balance. We are not obliged to replace a card if the balance has already been redeemed and we cannot reasonably verify the claim.\u003cbr\u003e7.4 We do not charge a fee for a genuine replacement of an unused or partly used card.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e8. Transfer and resale\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e8.1 You may give the gift card to another person. Give them a copy of these terms and the email that shows the issue date and expiry.\u003cbr\u003e8.2 Gift cards must not be on-sold, auctioned or used for advertising or promotional schemes without our written consent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e9. Changes to the store\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e9.1 We may change products, prices and the website. A gift card can be used on whatever we are selling at the time of redemption, at the prices then shown.\u003cbr\u003e9.2 If we cannot continue to redeem gift cards because the business closes, unused balances are unsecured amounts. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e10. Australian Consumer Law\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e10.1 These terms do not exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.\u003cbr\u003e10.2 Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you may be entitled to a refund or other remedy.
